New Tank Install Update - Tank Take 2 Many people are most intimidated with the tank installation. This is because of curves and being unsure about draining and removing the tank. This video shows how to quickly unbolt and lean back the tank without draining or disconnecting gas lines. Also in this video you'll learn how to shrink and stretch the material with heat to conform to curves and use the edge trimming method which holds to the edge when using Primer 94( Our Wraps are Printed on Avery now unless you specify otherwise, so we now recommend Pro Bond Adhesive promoter instead of 3M Primer 94). This eliminates the need to wrap to the back side and apply Edge Sealer. Yet another feature in this newest video is the use of a product called Knifeless Finishing Tape, to accurately layout and cut seams. This video is shot in almost realtime and runs just over 40 minutes which shows you just how quickly an entire tank can be wrapped. (watch now)

-Applying Tank Contours This can be one of the trickiest and most intimidating parts for beginners. In this video Paul shows the proper technique for heating up graphics to be stretched over tank contours. (watch now)
-Wrapping Tabs & Brackets Most tanks will have odd shaped brackets and tabs that require an extra degree of heating in order to conform. In this video you'll learn how to easily wrap these extra difficult areas to ensure proper adhesion for a long lasting application. (watch now)
-Using 3M Primer 94 Adhesive Promoter In this video you'll learn about this special product that allows for an extra degree of long lasting application with a minimal amount of effort. Use this product when wrapping areas with tight curves and grooves.
-Lining Up & Trimming the Side Panels When you're working with printed tank sides you'll want to take extra care to be sure and properly line these up to one another. This is because from the riders position you'll be able to easily tell if the graphics are off to one another, an amateur's common mistake.
-Applying the Top of the Tank (Rear) Paul explains how to apply 3M 218 Fine Line Stripping Tape over top of the already applied side pieces. This ensures an excellent cutting backing when trimming away the excess top material after being applied.
-One Handed Knuckle Pulling Technique If you're working by yourself and you're finding it hard to stretch the vinyl to get rid of bubbles and curves you'll want to use this special technique to pull the vinyl with one hand. This works really well for when you have a part laying on a flat work surface rather than the body work mounted on the bike when you need leverage.
-Applying the Tank Top (Front) In this video we'll remove the front portion of the tank top's backing and apply much like we did previously for the side panels.
-Overlapping Seams with Stripping Tape One of the worst things to do is have a decent installation but have cuts that pull apart at the seams. This is a rookie mistake where it's common for the installer to just cut along the seams rather than using stripping tape for a protective backing against the layer underneath and painted surfaces. Make sure to watch this video for the best possible seams.
-Cutting out the Gas Cap This video shows how to cut out for holes using rounded edges. This ensures that the wrap doesn't rip along where you might otherwise have edge corners if you simply just placed straight relief cuts.
-Applying 3M 3950 Edge Sealer When you're wrapping the body work around to the back side make sure and use this chemical which acts as an extra level of protection for edges that may otherwise come up due to stress and weathering. This inexpensive and transparent "glue" can be a life saver to your entire wrap.
-Lining Up Graphics & Corners This video shows how to line up graphics that are on different parts but are in direct contact with each other. This is common for examples where your bike's lower fairings might have two parts or even more common for areas where the side fairings meet the uppers. You'll also learn how to most effectively tuck the back side of corners where you might have extra material.
